Guess what happend this time....
Yeah, so I had my computer on for a few days. Thought I would give it a rest. Decided to shut it down. And something strange happend. The kind of strange you don't really see all that much anymore. The mystical kind of strange that tells you a spook is sitting behind you, watching the things you do from beyond the grave. The kind of strange that is neither welcomed or adcceptable. But it happend. To me. Today. This morning. Usually when I hit the power button a magical thing happens, the computer starts up. That didn't happen today. What happend today was the exact oppiset. It didn't turn on.
Strange hm? Yes, very. But the power light would come on. Just the computer wouldn't boot up. Seems to have died in it's sleep. It's the humain way to go I hear. Just never wake up again. Silly thing is....My drawings are on that silent death train. All of them, so I'm going to be starting a new. From this here Laptop. Hopfully, if I can. Good thing I had this laying around. Good news is that it's running XP my dead comp was running 98 so....yeah. But we'll see how this is going. Ooot! Thought I'd share all this with ya just incase you were wondering. Because I know you are.

And there you have it, Magic Chode Dust!
Devious Comments
in the immortal words of Homestar Runner- "Nevo Fear Bane, I shall fix yo Computo-box!"
you say the power light comes on, but it doesn't start.
have you checked the connexion from the button to your MoBo? have you tested the power supply? have you cleaned the contacts on the power button? does it smell like (heaven forbid) burnt silicon in the box?
and even then, you should still be able to get your info off your old HDD. i'm SURE some one you know has an old 98 box in their attic. just plug it in as a slave drive and make sure the "new" comp doesn't try and boot off it.
best of luck
