While I was drawing this I had a Britney Spears song in my head.....you know the one about blah blah, Toxic? Yeah. that's the one. But do you know why? This is TOXIN duckies yeah! This here is the Spawned Symbiotic child of Carnage, Grandchild of the fan-Favorite Venom. You know that small circle of alien folk Spidey likes to punch? Them are the ones. He's going to have his own comic series for a bit so I decided to draw the new Hero stalking the streets. That's right duckies HERO! Coo idea no? Drawn in Corel Painter 7.
Goodness but he does look like he's all gussied up for a night on the town! You're probably tired of me telling you how much you rock, but y'know, that won't stop me from telling you again!! Cripes, that I might have one iota of your talent man!
Now, Bane...you know I love you, buddy. You know I dig your art, and I feel that we can be honest with eachother.
That being said, CONGRATULATIONS for drawing an AWESOME picture of, quite possibly, the WORST charachter EVER! That symbiote thing got WAY outta hand. Venom was cool when he was just a creepy dude with teeth....not the five-foot jaw sixty foot tongue slobbering green goo everywhere schizzo that he's become. CHARACTERS LIKE THIS LED TO THE SPIDER-CLONE! THE SPIDER CLONE!!!!!!! *starts foaming at the mouth and runs around ranting about the spider-clone and death to that entire creative team*RRRRAAARRRGGGHHHH!
*police show up and fire several tranq darts*
*stright jacket administered*
Whew. Heh. Sorry about that. Like I said, the PICTURE is awesome...as always. You always do top-notch work. I just despise the symbiotes and all the crappy storylines they gave birth to *coughcoughvenom'ssoloseriescoughcough* Sorry, it's a tender subject with me. But you know I loves ya, buddy!
I WILL admit, however, that i like the NEW rednition of Venom, because it is so like the original. No 50ft tongue, no gallons of green slobber.....just the creepy, dark version of Spidey. Plus, it's the Scorpion in the symbiote now...and I always thought he deserved a shot at the big time.
I just reread your Artist Comments....this guy's getting his OWN series? While GOOD characters like my beloved Deadpool have to SHARE a title with lobotomized X-Fodder like Cable? GOD, I hate you, Marvel Comics...I hate you good...

Hahahaa! You're right ya know? I agree with ya lots. But, I decided to give the new characters a fighting chance, because, i'm nice like that. Although, after Arana turned into the GUYVER I was dispointed for a day or so. Just gotta keep your chin up and hope that they might know what they're doing.....hopefully.....the Lord willing. I share your sentiment for the Cable-Deadpool thing, it's kinda like the Captain America and Falcon tital. Nobody gives a swampy soggy Man-Thing fart about Falcon, and the same works for Cable. They should slap Cable into District X or something. Dead Pool is too much entertainment to be pulled down by another character. You gotta stay strong brotha, stay strong......Maybe i'll dust off one of my favorite characters, SWARM! That's right, Lithal Foes style. Hahaha! I'm pretty sure 99% of the population doesn't even know who he is. Along with Stegron and many others. You'll love them no doubt.

"Those that know fear, burn at the hands of Man-Thing".
But the Clayton Crain art was sooo Gangster! I think that distracted me. I picked up the TPB so I read the whole story in one sitting. The only thing that I didn't like was Crain's Mc' Farlane style of Spidy's head. lacking a nose edition. The story was about Carnage giving birth really so you can't go too far with that anyway. It was coo for what it is. Thanks for swinging by yo!

The art was great, digged that much. Black Cat felt a little forced to me, so it made it hard to enjoy. I do like the idea, and thought it could really bring some cool stories, but my problem with the way it went down was that it just didn't feel right in the end. Spidey was there, but it he wasn't really part of the story (to me), he felt like ... im not sure. The last few parts of the story i enjoyed most.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
